Bonan Wei is an award-winning designer currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design, while conducting research at Tsinghua University, including the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Green Vehicle and Mobility and the Future Laboratory.
His research spans the Human Factors & Intelligent Human–Machine Interaction Group and the Robot Interaction Design Lab (MiLab) within Tsinghua Future Lab, focusing on the intersection of human behavior, intelligent systems, and embodied interaction.
Rooted in industrial design yet never confined by it, Bonan’s work is evolving toward high-performance and intelligent mobility environments, particularly where human–machine interaction meets motion, perception, and control. From immersive product interfaces and real-time visualization systems to speculative mobility and robotic concepts, his practice explores how design can choreograph sensation, behavior, and system intelligence within complex dynamic contexts.
Bonan Wei是一位屡获国际设计奖项的工程研究型设计师，现就读于罗德岛设计学院（RISD）工业设计本科，并在清华大学多个研究平台开展前沿研究。
他目前隶属于清华大学智能绿色车辆与交通全国重点实验室CogDrive Lab课题组，同时在清华大学 Future Lab 未来实验室的人因工程与智能人机交互实验组及机器人交互设计实验室参与研究与设计工作，关注人的行为、智能系统与具身交互之间的关系。
他的创作以工业设计为根基，却不断突破学科边界，研究方向聚焦于高性能与智能化的未来出行环境，尤其关注人机交互、运动状态、感知体验与控制逻辑的协同。从沉浸式产品界面、实时可视化系统到前瞻性的出行与机器人概念，他持续探索设计如何在复杂动态系统中组织感知、行为与技术智能。
